EBV ImmuneSelect Peptide Pool Premium

£195.00

The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), also known as human herpesvirus 4 (HHV-4), formally called Human gammaherpesvirus 4, is one of the nine known human herpesvirus types. EBV has two major types: EBV type 1 (EBV-1) and EBV type 2 (EBV-2). EBV-type 1 is the most common type of EBV worldwide; EBV-type 2 accounts for a smaller proportion of EBV infections in humans.

The EBV peptide pool contains 44 peptides (8-21mer) from Human herpesvirus 4 (Epstein Barr virus), MHC class–I & II. Peptide sequences as T cell epitopes are collected from the Glycoprotein, EBNA-3A and 3B, membrane protein, BARF1 protein, LMP1 protein and others.

The purity of each peptide is ≥90% (HPLC-MS).

Description

Description

The EBV peptide pool contains 44 peptides (8-21mer) from Human herpesvirus 4 (Epstein Barr virus), derived from the following protein

  • BARF1 protein
  • BZLF1
  • DNA polymerase catalytic subunit
  • EBNA-1 (Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 1)
  • EBNA-2
  • EBNA-3A
  • EBNA-3B
  • EBNA-6
  • Glycoprotein GP110 precursor (MTP, p140)
  • Large tegument protein deneddylase
  • LMP1 (Latent membrane protein 1)
  • LMP2A/B
  • Envelope membrane glycoprotein GP350
  • Transcription activator BRLF1

The peptide sequences are a mixture of MHC class–I & MHC class–II epitopes.  The purity of each peptide is ≥90% (HPLC-MS).

Application

The in-vitro stimulation of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) with EBV ImmuneSelect Peptide Pool activates memory T cells specific to the virus, leading to cytokine secretion and the increased expression of specific surface markers.
